Our User Prep service is useful for researchers who are hands-on and have access to the required equipment for Sanger sequencing. If you are just starting out our sequencing guide can help you get started as it provides an overview of the sample preparation process. User Prep services include:

User Prep – You submit clean, pelleted sequencing product. We perform the capillary electrophoresis. Turnaround time: 1-3 days.

User Prep Plus – You submit the product of the sequencing reaction. We remove the excess components and perform the capillary electrophoresis. Turnaround time: 1-3 days. This service is currently only available for plate submissions (minimum sample number required). Please contact us for details.

Data analysis service – please contact us for further details.

Sample Submission Procedure

Please follow the sample submission guidelines carefully to ensure smooth processing and a quick turnaround time.

  • Perform the sequencing reaction and clean up as per the sequencing reaction protocol for AB3730 (see our protocols in the welcome guide).

  • Send samples as dried pellet in 1.5ml tubes or AB3730 compatible plates according to the service required.
  • It is important to select the correct “Service Request” option in the drop down menu, please select the Plate96- or Plate48- for plate submissions.

  • Sample numbers for plate submissions are 40-48 for half plate (in odd columns) and 80-95 for full plate.
  • For individual samples, label tubes with the order number and consecutive numbering on the lid. For example, for order number 1234 with 3 samples, label tubes as “1234-1”, “1234-2” and “1234-3” (see below). Label plates with the order number or plate number.
